Teatro Inverso is a place an idea and a way of producing, organizing and doing theatre.
Teatro Inverso has a basic aim: “comunicate” the private and social “human experience”.
We work for a theatre who dare to dessolve its forms, to become “trasparent”.
Teatro Inverso is a theatre company founded in 1997 on the base of a previus project called Zentrifugaprogetti. Since this year its activities have been increasingly developed with a lot of cooperations with International, National and Regional Theatres, and Isitutional State Organizations.
We have two areas of interest: production of our company and organization of event.
As a matter of fact, Teatro Inverso has partecipated to several national prices such us Scena prima in Milano(2002), Festival di Rovigo(2003), Premio Scenario (2005). Teatro Inverso produce every year at least two new performances, which regularly tour in Italy, directed by national and international directors (Davide D’Antonio, Heidrun Kaletsch, Francois Khan…)
Moreover Teatro Inverso has tried to develope a new way of organization in order to avoid the “empass” of the Italian bureaocratic theatre system, working basically on projects and cooperate with different institutions to develop them.
By now Teatro inverso has developed several projects such as FROM, an event on immigration where theatre, dance and other arts try to found there ethnical roots in cooperation with Youth Department of Brescia Municipality and with the State Dippartment of Social Affair, Ministry of Work; WHOLESALE, an european project on the Holacuast supported by Regione Lombardia, ASM Foundation, Provincia di Brescia, National Trusts, NOW AND THEN a multimedia project on the theme of italian ‘70 slaugthers, finished in 2001 in cooperation with Municipality Of Brescia, Milano and Bologna; Italian net of theatre in Hospital (not animation theatre); European international course of theatre operators in museums, a specialization course financed by FSE European Comunity
Three projects are regualary carried out evey year:
- Theatre Industry, school theatre project with 42 schools in Brescia Province, started in 1999 for the development of contemporary theatre in school
- Festival Fairytales ans Contamination, a festival of performing arts
- Permanent Workshop of arts: a special theatre school in Brescia
Who is Teatro Inverso: Davide D’Antonio, former Drama Teacher of the Brescia State University, Gianbattista Schieppati, drammaturg and script writer selected for the well-known italian price Premio Calvino, Giovanni Zani organizer and economist.
